5月6日，CGTN（中国国际电视台）对暨南大学的也门留学生萨娜的抗疫故事进行了报道。
来自也门的萨娜是两个孩子的母亲，也是暨南大学基础医学院的硕士生。自新冠肺炎疫情发生以来，她都站在小区门口为来往的居民免费派送口罩，一站就是两三个小时。
她表示，在中国生活了4年后，她并不觉得自己是个“外国人”，面对疫情，她要和中国朋友们一起面对。
据了解，本次节目内容同时在欧洲、北美、非洲等区域落地播出，并同时推出电视版及新媒体版本。

In today's Our Story, we meet a Yemeni student, Sana'a. She has been contributing to the fight against COVID-19 in South China's Guangzhou. CGTN's Li Jianhua has the story.
Sana'a Ahmed Nagi is a mother of two. Her kids, brought up in China, are fluent in both Chinese and Arabic.
Taking care of her kids and working on her Masters' degree in medicine at Jinan University in South China's Guangzhou, she's taken another job since the coronavirus epidemic appeared.
"Hi, here are some masks."
"I have masks myself."
"No problem. They are free."
"OK. Thank you."
Reporter: "You must give a lot of masks out every day!"
SANA'A AHMED NAGI Yemeni Student, Jinan University "Yes, I told you. At that time, I [had] a lot."
Reporter: "And how many hours do you work like this?"
SANA'A AHMED NAGI Yemeni Student, Jinan University "Mostly three hours. Three hours, two hours, or an hour and a half – not less than this. Here is [my duty], because you know to share something you need, this is the purpose."
LI JIANHUA Guangzhou "How did people feel about it when they realize actually you are giving out the masks for free?"
SANA'A AHMED NAGI Yemeni Student, Jinan University "Yeah. They were shocked. You know the Chinese, like that person [just now]. 'we have, we have.' I'd say 'just take it. Maybe you'll need it one day, so just take it.' This is for my heart, really."
Yet not all would understand her good-will gesture, some may be a bit paranoid and choose not to take the free masks.
Living and studying in China for the past four years, Sana'a says as a medical professional herself, it's her duty to extend her help to the country she lives in.
LI JIANHUA Guangzhou "How do people feel about it – about your work here as a foreigner, you know?"
SANA'A AHMED NAGI Yemeni Student, Jinan University "Yea. They feel happy because they feel like you are a foreigner and you support us like this. Even if it is a simple word, if you say tell them 'jiayou' or tell them we are with you. We are fighting this together. They feel so happy. I feel like that feeling so amazing."
Reporter: "So you feel a sense of belonging here."
SANA'A AHMED NAGI Yemeni Student, Jinan University "Yes, I feel like that I am one of the Chinese population. I'm one of them, and I'm not feeling like I'm a foreigner. We have the same situation. We fight the same situation. This is my duty."
Sana'a tells me her name means "making a miracle happen," and she is working towards doing just that in her own small way.
3月8日，萨娜还接受了卡塔尔半岛电视台的专访，谈到了自己在抗击新冠疫情期间的所见所闻，并表示对中国的支持。

她还利用自己的学科背景，参与到社区的防疫志愿行动中，并利用语言优势为同在广州的其他外国人进行翻译，使他们了解社区的防疫措施。

3月21日，广东国际频道也播出了暨南大学在穗外籍教师和留学生与中国人民一起，同心共抗疫的故事。他们为中国“战疫”的成功贡献着力量，同时，暨南大学也为其身心安全殚精竭虑，传递温暖。
暨南留学生搭建沟通桥梁：
把中国经验介绍给多国
“要捐口罩的人可以来找我，我们一起捐出去”。2月7日，暨南大学印尼籍毕业生佘娇慧在朋友圈发布信息。得知当时中国口罩紧缺，她和9名印尼籍暨南校友决定在Instagram、微信等社交平台发起公益活动，邀请世界各地的朋友一起向中国捐赠口罩。

打包爱心口罩寄往中国
“一个人的力量不够，但很多人的力量能打动整个世界”。在佘娇慧等印尼籍暨南校友的动员下，15000多个口罩陆续从印尼送达湖北、广东、上海、河南、浙江、贵州等19个省市。
像佘娇慧这样的故事还有很多。在阻击新冠病毒肺炎的战斗中，来自123个不同国家的暨南学子和中国休戚与共，用爱心、信心、关心助力中国打赢抗疫阻击战。
暨南大学目前有全日制学生40029人，其中本科生27836人，研究生12193人，在校华侨、港澳台和外国留学生13728人，其中香港学生5554人、澳门学生2212人。
截至2020年3月，暨南大学共有在校留学生3149人，来自123个不同国家和地区，目前在各校区留校住宿的留学生68人。
暨南大学国际交流合作处处长、港澳台侨事务办公室主任蒲若茜介绍，针对暨大留学生，学校通过中英文官网、官方微信号等定期向学生推送疫情防控期间的教学活动安排，并针对学生关心的问题进行解答，保证他们有序开展网络学习。
面对国际上部分媒体对中国疫情防控的不实报道，暨大留学生也积极行动起来，以亲身经历讲述自己在中国生活、学习的感受。
留学生作为暨南大学的一部分，充分配合并支持了学校的抗疫工作，并利用自己的语言和文化优势，搭建中外沟通桥梁，无论是捐赠物资，还是在国际媒体发声，或者是克服困难坚持在线学习，都体现出了暨南学子自信坚强的精神风貌。
